Excel Spring & Stamping is an ISO 9001:2015 certified facility, providing precision fourslide metal forming services for various automotive industry customers.

This fourslide project was produced for a customer in Illinois. We made this compression limiter from C1008/1010 steel shaped wire with a special edge, using our U.S. Baird #2 fourslide machine. The overall part dimensions were 16.2 mm x 14.2 mm x 6.1 mm, with tolerances of ±0.1mm. After forming, the parts were then plated with .0003″ thick Zinc-Nickel and Trivalent Chromate (per Chrysler PS-8955 standards for zinc alloy electrodeposited coatings). The parts were checked by dimensional inspection, CNC video inspection, ASTM A568 chemical composition specifications, as well as Chrysler engineering standards. To date we have produced over 900,000 of these compression limiters.

Our dedication to quality and customer service has ensured that our customers have kept coming back for over 50 years. For more information about this automotive fourslide metal forming project, see the table below, or contact us directly.
