Our four-slide capabilities allow us to produce stamped and formed parts with more complexity than can be obtained from a stamping press. The four-slide machine allows forming from four or more different directions around a custom center-form. They are also well suited to high volume wire forms, since all the forming is done almost simultaneously. We work with flat stock, round wire, or shaped wire, and with metals such as low and high carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, brass, phosphor bronze, beryllium copper, and many other alloys. The materials can be hard or soft temper and can have a pre-plated or bare finish.
We are capable of working with material with thickness up to .125″, width up to 2.125″, or wire diameter up to .312″. Feed lengths can be up to 30″. We work to tolerances as tight as ±.001″. Completed components are inspected with our OGP video measuring systems, a profile projector, calipers, or a micrometer. We can also test spring force and hardness.
With 50 years of experience in manufacturing high-quality industrial metal components, Excel Spring & Stamping can meet your most demanding requirements.
